S.A.I.L. 2007 Participants & Donors
These Texas girlfriends initiated their annual cruises to the Caribbean for
comraderie, spiritual enrichment, entertainment and, naturally, shopping.
After a few years of touring, they decided to undertake a mission trip and,
while searching the web for an idea, they found us. Cruz Roja's board of
directors, staff and volunteers agreed to locate groups to assist and to
plan and co-ordinate the Cozumel portion of their trip. This happy
accident has produced amazing results for many families in Cozumel.

On January, 22, 2007,  the ladies' ship docked in Cozumel and they
came ashore with 48 suitcases filled with donations. They were warmly
received by  the D.I.F. and taken to the organization's child care centers.
SAIL's donations included professional baby scales, nebulizers,
commercial first-aid kits, vitamins, toys, clothing for the children and their
mothers, blankets, CD players and educational materials  And the ladies
didn't stop there! They presented each child with a small gift and
D.I.F.with a large cash donation to buy diapers. They also presented a
large quantity of medical and surgical supplies to Cruz Roja. It was a
great day both for the ladies of S.A.I.L. and for Cozumelenos. We
appreciate all of the hard work and personal sacrifice that these women
gave for us.

Stay tuned to our Latest News page for details on SAIL's next visit --
January, 25, 2008.
